The Bellevue (40-7) shut the door early on the Lower Columbia (33-14), capturing an 11-4 victory on Sunday at Delta Park.
The game was decided quickly as the Bellevue exerted their will early with seven runs in the first three innings.
An RBI single by Alex Boyd, an RBI single by Tinerra Adams, a two-run single by Rachael Delamare, and a two-run single by Delamare during the second inning helped the Bellevue put some runs on the board early.Brianna Attwood had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the third inning, homered in the fifth inning, and singled in the second and sixth innings.
Sam Boyce racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Lower Columbia. He homered in the fifth inning.
Payton Gibbs improved to 12-3 on the year by picking up the win for the Bellevue. He allowed four runs over seven innings. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered nine hits.
Jessica Gibson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in three innings, walked none and struck out two.
