Kramer Champlin tossed a no-hitter to lift the Traverse City Beach Bums (2-4) to a 5-0 win over the Joliet Slammers (3-5) at Wuerfel Park.

Jose Vargas was solid at the plate for the Traverse City Beach Bums. Vargas went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Quinn Pippin pitched lights out for the Joliet Slammers. Pippin gave up just one hit, allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out three during his four innings of work.

Champlin got the win, running his season record to 1-0. Champlin struck out 10, walked two and gave up no hits.

Pippin (0-1) took the loss for the Joliet Slammers.
