Friday was a great day for Cameron Walker, as Walker struck out eight batters to carry the Walla Walla (27-16) to a 4-2 victory over the Skagit Valley (25-20) at Skagit Valley.
Steven Sordahl racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Walla Walla. He singled in the fourth inning and doubled in the second and sixth innings.
Wyatt Segel was hot from the plate for the Skagit Valley. Segel went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning and singled in the seventh inning.
The Walla Walla couldn't get anything going as long as Brad Johnson was pitching. The Walla Walla managed just two hits off of Johnson, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his three innings of work.
Pat Siler couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Skagit Valley, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
