He homered in the sixth inning and singled in the eighth inning.Kayla Byers's 11 strikeouts were enough to push the Mt. Hood past the Douglas. Byers allowed four earned runs on eight hits and four walks over eight innings.
Daniella Vilio was solid at the plate for the Douglas. Vilio went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the seventh inning.
Keeley Ainge (16-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 7 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
