Jessica Gibson came off the bench and never even had to swing his bat as Gibson reached on a in the one to lead the Lower Columbia (33-13) to a 9-5 win over the North Idaho (35-13) on Saturday at Delta Park.

The Lower Columbia got their bats going early, scoring five runs in the first inning to pull ahead of the North Idaho. The Lower Columbia scored in the first on a hit by pitch, a two-run double by Bailey Hockett, and a two-run single by Mariah Mendez.

Mendez racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Lower Columbia.

Abby Howard racked up four RBIs on two hits for the North Idaho. He homered in the second innings and singled in the fourth inning.

Krystina Fischer improved to 17-5 on the year by picking up the win for the Lower Columbia. He allowed three runs over three innings. Fischer struck out two, walked two and gave up four hits.

Katie Barron (19-7) took the loss for the North Idaho. He allowed nine runs in seven innings, walked four and struck out one.
