The Edmonds take out the SW Oregon with help from Matsuki, 3-2

The Edmonds (20-18) beat the SW Oregon (27-16) 3-2 in seven innings on Friday at Delta Park behind Paige Matsuki, who collected three hits.

He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the first and seventh innings.

Hailey Malakowski picked up the win for the Edmonds. Malakowski pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, four hits and two walks while striking out four.

Shevan DeFreitas pitched lights out for the SW Oregon. DeFreitas gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Lauren Spencer (14-10) took the loss for the SW Oregon. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
