Hailey Valitski was cold coming off the bench, but Valitski warmed up quickly as Valitski stroked a key pinch-hit single in the seven to lead the Mt. Hood (35-8) to a 4-3 win over the Lower Columbia (31-13) on Friday at Delta Park.
With the Mt. Hood trailing by two, Valitski came to the plate and singled.
Megan Marcy racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Mt. Hood. He homered in the sixth inning.
Kayla Byers recorded his eighteenth win of the year for the Mt. Hood. He allowed three runs over seven innings. He struck out four, walked none and surrendered nine hits.
Krystina Fischer (16-5) took the loss for the Lower Columbia. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
