The Big Bend (7-22) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 3-2 to the North Idaho (26-9) on Saturday.
The North Idaho took the lead in the sixth inning on a solo home run by Jamie Yurick.
Yurick racked up two RBIs on one hit for the North Idaho. He homered in the sixth inning.
Katie Barron pitched lights out for the North Idaho. Barron held the Big Bend hitless over four innings, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out four.
Shayla Baker was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the North Idaho batters and allowing three runs.
Baker (4-9) took the loss for the Big Bend.
