Chris Tavares hit two home runs, but it wasn't enough to carry the Santa Fe Fuego (15-42) to a win on Wednesday, as the Santa Fe Fuego fell to the Garden City Wind (31-23) 13-12 at Fort Marcy Park.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 25 total runs and 29 hits during the game. Relief pitchers got their fill of innings during the game, with the opposing managers using 10 pitchers in total.

Eli Roundtree racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Garden City Wind. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings and homered in the eighth inning.

Nick Francis got his first win for the Garden City Wind despite allowing five runs over 2 1/3 innings. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered six hits.

Ryo Ose couldn't get it done on the mound for the Santa Fe Fuego, taking a loss. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed one run.
