Boyce leads the Lower Columbia to 15-4 win over the Chemeketa

Tuesday was a great day for Sam Boyce, as he clubbed two home runs to carry the Lower Columbia (26-8) to a 15-4 victory over the Chemeketa (8-22) at Wallace Marine Park in six innings.

The Lower Columbia blew out the Chemeketa thanks to 14 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Lower Columbia scored six runs in the sixth on the Lower Columbia scored in the sixth on a triple by Madi Barr, a sacrifice fly by Ashley Kelly, a sacrifice fly by Kelly, a single by Jessica Gibson, and a sacrifice fly by Mariah Mendez.

Bailey Ellis put together a nice outing. The Chemeketa managed just one hit off of Ellis, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his four innings of work.

Shelby Bucheit had two extra-base hits for the Chemeketa. He homered in the second inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

McKenna Culpepper (4-6) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed nine runs in five innings, walked one and struck out one.

The Lower Columbia pounded the Chemeketa pitching, as six hitters combined for 12 hits, 14 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
