Mt. Hood vs Clackamas: 9-4

The Mt. Hood take out the Clackamas with help from Benard, 9-4

Isaac Benard had two extra base hits, sparking the Mt. Hood (17-14) to a 9-4 victory over the Clackamas (5-21) on Tuesday at Clackamas Community College Sof.

He singled in the second and third innings and doubled in the fifth and eighth innings.

The Clackamas had no answer for Camden Muller, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Clackamas managed just one hit off of Muller, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Zach Wyscaver had two extra-base hits for the Clackamas. He doubled in the second and third innings and singled in the fifth inning.

The Mt. Hood couldn't get anything going as long as Robert Fine was pitching. The Mt. Hood managed just three hits off of Fine, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his five innings of work.

Cobi Johnson improved to 3-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Mt. Hood. He allowed one run over three innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered three hits.

Chris Painter (1-4) took the loss for the Clackamas. He allowed nine runs in four innings, walked two and struck out four.
