Gilliam hits and pitches the Columbia Basin to 7-5 victory

Sarah Gilliam powered the Columbia Basin (24-9) at the plate and on the hill Saturday, willing the Columbia Basin to a 7-5 victory over the Olympic.

Gilliam led the Columbia Basin's offensive threat, as he got on base four times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the third inning.

Gilliam picked up the win for the Columbia Basin. Gilliam pitched 5 2/3 innings and allowed no earned runs, five hits and two walks while striking out two.

Kaitlin Oberg boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace the Olympic (12-19). He singled in the sixth and seventh innings.

Nicole Jacobsen (3-3) took the loss for the Olympic. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked nine and struck out seven.
