An eight-run explosion in the third inning led the Edmonds (14-8) to a 13-4 win in five innings over the Yakima Valley at Kiwanis on Sunday.
The Edmonds scored in the third on a three-run double by Antionette Watson, a two-run double by KamrynMae Kanae, a two-run error, and an RBI single by Hannah Wilcox.
Watson racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Edmonds.
Daphne Fisher was hot from the plate for the Yakima Valley (4-24). Fisher went 1-2, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the first inning.
Hailey Malakowski got the win, running his season record to 10-7. He allowed one run over four innings. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered four hits.
Shelby Shelton (2-7) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed 13 runs in four innings, walked four and struck out one.
