The Skagit Valley (6-10) shut the door early on the Grays Harbor (0-21), capturing a 15-2 victory on Saturday at Kiwanis.
With 10 runs in the first three innings, the Skagit Valley left no doubt about the eventual outcome.
A two-run double by Tori Baysa, an RBI triple by Mandy Warner, and an RBI double by Kaylee Vis during the first inning and a single by Kendra Holmes, a double by Kaylen Fuentes-Arellano, an RBI double by Baysa, an RBI single by Warner, an RBI single by Vis, and an RBI double by Kiana Anderson in the second inning helped the Skagit Valley put some runs on the board early.Warner racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Skagit Valley.
The Grays Harbor were led by Liz Garman's hitting. Garman went 2-3 and scored two runs. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the third inning.
Mallory Kruzich improved to 2-7 on the year by picking up the win for the Skagit Valley. He allowed two runs over five innings. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered eight hits.
Alyssa Satteson couldn't get it done on the mound for the Grays Harbor, taking a loss. He allowed 15 runs in four innings, walked five and struck out one.
