A great effort by Rylee Thomas spurred the Everett (12-11) to a 4-2 win in seven innings over the Centralia (16-11) on Saturday at Kiwanis.
Thomas struck out 14, paving the way for a the Everett win. Thomas allowed one earned run, three hits and two walks over seven innings.
Kierstin Smith was the lone bright spot for the Centralia in the loss.
Smith did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Centralia, reaching base two times. He also drove in one runner. He doubled in the sixth inning.
The Everett couldn't get anything going as long as Smith was pitching. The Everett managed just two hits off of the the Centralia's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his two innings of work.
Jessica Glacken (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
