Taylor Woodward had three extra base hits as the Douglas (9-5) took home a 7-4 victory over the Everett (9-10) in eight innings at Everett Boys _ Girls Club on Saturday.
He doubled in the second and fourth innings and tripled in the fifth inning.Carolyn Thoveson racked up eight strikeouts in the the Douglas win. Thoveson allowed one earned run on eight hits and no walks over seven innings.
The Everett were led by Cherise Shaver's hitting. Shaver went 2-3 and scored one run. He tripled in the fifth inning and singled in the seventh inning.
Rylee Thomas was charged with his fifth loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in seven innings, walked three and struck out eight.
Dallas Tilley, Keeley Ainge and Woodward helped lead the Douglas. They combined for six hits and six RBIs.
