A superb effort by Lauren Spencer lifted the SW Oregon (19-8) to a 6-1 win in seven innings over the Columbia Basin (27-9) on Sunday at Kiwanis.
Spencer kept contact to a minimum, striking out nine the Columbia Basin batters. Spencer allowed no earned runs, two hits and three walks over seven innings.
Tayler Finch did his best to jumpstart the offense for the SW Oregon, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the first and sixth innings.
Kayla Andrews was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked five and struck out six.
