The Edmonds first-inning burst enough to top the Highline, 14-6

The Edmonds (16-13) took down the Highline (7-25) 14-6 on Saturday at Gateway Complex after slamming the Highline with 10 runs in the first inning.

The Edmonds scored in the first on an RBI single by Ciara Inovejas, an RBI triple by KamrynMae Kanae, an RBI single by Hannah Wilcox, an RBI single by Tia Hedman, a two-run single by Antionette Watson, an error, a two-run double by Chantel Brown, an RBI single by Inovejas, an RBI single by Kanae, and a single by Wilcox.

Kanae racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Edmonds.

Megan Chan had a hot bat for the Highline. Chan went 2-3 and scored two runs. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the third inning.

Hailey Malakowski improved to 13-10 on the year by picking up the win for the Edmonds. He allowed three runs over three innings. Malakowski struck out one, walked none and gave up seven hits.

Stefani Gollin couldn't get it done on the mound for the Highline, taking a loss. He allowed 11 runs in two innings, walked none and struck out one.
