An impressive two-way performance from McKenna Culpepper led the Chemeketa (5-11) to a 4-3 win Sunday over the Walla Walla, as Culpepper came up huge at the dish and on the rubber.
The Chemeketa were led by Culpepper's hitting. Culpepper went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He tripled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.
Culpepper racked up six strikeouts in the the Chemeketa win. Culpepper allowed two earned runs, five hits and three walks over seven innings.
Jacie McDaniels had two extra-base hits for the Walla Walla (9-11). He doubled in the third and fifth innings and singled in the seventh inning.
Mickenzie Mullins (0-5) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
