The Everett (8-7) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Skagit Valley (3-5), recording a 13-0 victory on Saturday at Everett Boys _ Girls Club .
The game was decided quickly as the Everett exerted their will early with eight runs in the first three innings.
A two-run home run by Kiana Smith and an RBI single by Sarah Dipietro in the first inning and an RBI single by Rylee Thomas, a two-run single by Anya Predojevic, and a two-run single by Taryn Salter during the second inning fueled the Everett's offense early.Smith racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Everett.
Thomas recorded his fifth win of the year for the Everett. He struck out five, walked three and surrendered no hits.
Mallory Kruzich (1-3) took the loss for the Skagit Valley. He allowed 13 runs in four innings, walked two and struck out four.
