The William Penn University JV didn't stand a chance on Sunday, as the Douglas (5-2) captured a blowout 12-4 win in seven innings at Arizona.

The Douglas scored five runs in the fifth on the Douglas scored in the fifth on a solo home run by Madison Heggie, a groundout by Michaela Moore, a double by Siara Couper, a two-run single by Daniella Vilio, and a triple by Taylor Woodward.

Woodward racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Douglas.

MacKenzie McClure had a hot bat for the William Penn University JV. McClure went 2-4 and scored two runs. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

Moore recorded his first win of the year for the Douglas. He allowed four runs over 4 2/3 innings. Moore struck out two, walked one and gave up eight hits.

Olivia Nichols took the loss for the William Penn University JV. He allowed six runs in four innings, walked five and struck out two.
