The Aquinas College jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 6-4 to the Douglas (9-3) on Friday.

A two-run single by Keeley Ainge gave the Douglas the lead in the seventh inning.

Madison Heggie racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Douglas. He singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Cruz led the Aquinas College's offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the first and third innings.

Ainge improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Douglas. He allowed four runs over five innings. He struck out five, walked three and surrendered six hits.

Kenny ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed six runs in seven innings, walked four and struck out three.
