The Big Bend (5-9) failed to take advantage of Morgan Goslin's effort at the plate on Saturday, losing 13-10 to the Wenatchee Valley (6-5) in seven innings at Big Bend Complex.

Goslin racked up seven RBIs on two hits for the Big Bend. He homered in the third and sixth innings.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 23 total runs and 20 hits during the game.

Amber Writer had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

Brooke Writer got his first win for the Wenatchee Valley despite allowing six runs over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out six, walked three and surrendered eight hits.

Shayla Baker (2-3) took the loss for the Big Bend. He allowed nine runs in five innings, walked three and struck out three.

Writer, Allie Kopczynski and Hunter Schneitter helped lead the Wenatchee Valley. They combined for six hits and five RBIs.
