Hunter Ridge went 1-4 and hit a home run as the Joliet Slammers (31-28) took home a 7-4 victory over the Florence Freedom (26-34) at UC Health Stadium on Sunday.

The Florence Freedom's lineup had no answer for Brent Choban. Choban held the Florence Freedom hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none.

Tony Vocca was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Joliet Slammers batters and allowing one run.

Taylor Oldham racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Florence Freedom. He homered in the third inning.

Shane Bryant improved to 3-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Joliet Slammers. He allowed four runs over seven innings. He struck out four, walked two and surrendered five hits.

Davis Adkins was charged with his third loss of the year. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked three and struck out one.
