Josh Bunselmeyer went 3-3 at the plate, helping the Gateway Grizzlies (32-33) to a 6-3 victory over the Schaumburg Boomers (28-36) on Thursday at GCS Ballpark.

The Gateway Grizzlies relied on Adam Eggnatz to eat up innings en route to the win. Eggnatz pitched 7 2/3 innings and allowed three earned runs, seven hits and two walks while striking out six.

Jordan Dean was solid at the plate for the Schaumburg Boomers. Dean went 1-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the fourth inning.

Kagen Hopkins (3-4) took the loss for the Schaumburg Boomers. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
