The Schaumburg Boomers (28-34) and the Gateway Grizzlies (30-33) each put runners in scoring position on Tuesday, but the Schaumburg Boomers capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 4-3 win at GCS Ballpark.

The fact that the Schaumburg Boomers grouped all of their runs into the fourth inning helped them take advantage of their hits.

Seth Webster's nine strikeouts helped the Schaumburg Boomers to the victory. Webster allowed two earned runs, eight hits and no walks over seven innings.

Cody Livesay was hot from the plate for the Gateway Grizzlies. Livesay went 3-4 and scored two runs. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fifth and eighth innings.

Jon Jones (2-2) took the loss for the Gateway Grizzlies. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
