David Popkins went 1-3 and hit a home run as the Washington Wild Things (22-21) took home a 4-3 victory over the Florence Freedom (16-27) at CONSOL Energy Park on Friday.

The Washington Wild Things relied on Luke Wilkins to eat up innings en route to the win. Wilkins allowed three earned runs, five hits and four walks while striking out six over eight innings of work.

Davis Adkins couldn't get it done on the mound for the Florence Freedom, taking a loss. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
