Fourth-inning rally sparks blowout win for the Highline, 11-3

A six-run explosion in the fourth inning lifted the Highline (6-15) to an 11-3 win in six innings over the Grays Harbor at Highline Field on Wednesday.

The Highline scored in the fourth on a groundout by Morgan Struck, a double by Lorea Maranan, an RBI single by Aly Rippingham, an RBI double by Megan Chan, a groundout by Taylor Poe, and a solo home run by Precious Tabangcura.

Chan racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Highline.

Madi Studer put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Grays Harbor (0-15). He singled in the second inning and doubled in the first and fifth innings.

Stefani Gollin improved to 3-5 on the year by picking up the win for the Highline. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out one, walked two and surrendered eight hits.

Sabrina Collins ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fifth loss of the year. He allowed 11 runs in five innings, walked four and struck out two.
