The North Idaho (6-2) beat the SW Oregon (6-2) 3-1 in seven innings on Thursday at Heinz/Ore-Ida Regional Softball behind Kekuulani Haake, who went 2-3 and hit a home run.
He singled in the second inning and homered in the fourth inning.The SW Oregon couldn't get anything going as long as Katie Barron was pitching. The SW Oregon managed just two hits off of Barron, who allowed one earned run, walked four and struck out seven during his seven innings of work.
Lauren Spencer was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the North Idaho batters and allowing three runs.
Spencer (2-2) was the game's losing pitcher.
