The Lower Columbia (1-0) jumped out to an early lead on the Highline (4-4) and captured an 8-0 victory on Saturday at RAC - Lacey.
The game was decided quickly as the Lower Columbia exerted their will early with eight runs in the first three innings.
An RBI single by Hannah Rothwell in the first inning and and a three-run double by Rothwell during the second inning fueled the Lower Columbia's offense early.Nicole Bolasky got a hit in each of his three at bats. He singled in the first, second, and third innings.
Bailey Ellis brought the heat against the Highline during his outing. The Highline managed just one hit off of Ellis, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his four innings of work.
Precious Tabangcura (0-1) took the loss for the Highline. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked two and struck out one.
The Lower Columbia were sparked by Bolasky and Rothwell, who teamed up for seven hits and five RBIs.
