The Edmonds (4-1) beat the Big Bend (1-4) 8-7 in seven innings on Saturday behind Chantel Brown, who collected three hits.
He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and fourth innings.Hailey Malakowski had an impressive outing against the Big Bend's lineup. The Big Bend managed just two hits off of Malakowski, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out six during his 5 2/3 innings of work.
Tifini Schorzman racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Big Bend. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the fourth inning.
Shayla Baker (0-1) took the loss for the Big Bend. He allowed eight runs in six innings, walked six and struck out two.
