A superb effort by Tessani Dixon led the Bellevue (3-1) to an 8-0 win in five innings over the Corban University on Sunday at Delta Park.
Dixon racked up six RBIs on three hits for the Bellevue. He singled in the first inning and homered in the third inning.
The Bellevue's bats came to life in the fifth inning. The Corban University had no answer as the Bellevue scored five runs. The Bellevue scored in the fifth on a three-run home run by Katy Sinn, a solo home run by Rayne Sylvester, and a solo home run by Alex Boyd.
Sylvester held the Corban University scoreless during his five innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on three hits while ringing up five.
