The bats were busy at Columbia Playfields on Monday, and when the dust cleared the Spokane (29-20) had a 13-9 win over the SW Oregon (27-16) in eight innings.
The two teams combined for 30 hits in the game.
Michele Strauss had three extra-base hits for the Spokane. He homered in the fourth inning and doubled in the third and seventh innings.
Shevan DeFreitas racked up four RBIs on three hits for the SW Oregon. He homered in the first inning and singled in the second and fourth innings.
Even though Makenzie Norwill allowed nine runs over seven innings he still recorded the victory, his fifth of the season. Norwill struck out three, walked three and gave up 13 hits.
Lauren Spencer (14-10) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed 11 runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out four.
The Spokane's Norwill, Courtney Kent, Strauss and Ryelynn Mendoza combined for 12 hits and 11 RBIs.
