The Lower Columbia get key pinch-hit in 16-1 victory over the Pierce

Nicole Bolasky was cold coming off the bench, but Bolasky warmed up quickly as Bolasky stroked a key pinch-hit single in the one to lead the Lower Columbia (9-1) to a 16-1 win over the Pierce (6-8) on Friday at Heritage Recreation Center.

With Bolasky came to the plate and singled.

Madi Barr blasted two home runs for the Lower Columbia. Barr went 4-4 in the game with three RBIs and three runs scored. Barr homered in the first and third innings.

Seven runs in the opening three innings allowed the Lower Columbia to easily put away the Pierce. A solo home run by Ashley Kelly, a two-run home run by Kelly, a two-run home run by Sam Boyce, and a two-run home run by Barr in the first inning helped the Lower Columbia put some runs on the board early.

Krystina Fischer struck out five, paving the way for a the Lower Columbia win. Fischer allowed no earned runs, four hits and no walks over five innings.

Jessilyn Enlow ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed 16 runs in five innings, walked one and struck out none.
