The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (23-17) built an early edge on Saturday, but the Chatham Anglers (15-24) roared back to steal a 6-2 victory at Veterans Field.
An RBI single by Mason Koppens gave the Chatham Anglers the lead in the fifth inning.
Isaac Mattson brought the heat against the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox during his outing. The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox managed just two hits off of Mattson, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his three innings of work.
Bo Burrup improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Chatham Anglers. He allowed two runs over five innings. Burrup struck out one, walked three and gave up four hits.
William Montgomerie (2-2) took the loss for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out eight, and allowed five runs.
