The Falmouth Commodores (27-13) beat the Brewster Whitecaps (16-22) 6-4 in eight innings on Saturday at Stony Brook behind Deacon Liput, who had two extra base hits.

The Brewster Whitecaps had no answer for Cole Sands, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Sands gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

AJ Graffanino racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Brewster Whitecaps. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Jacob Wloczewski couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Brewster Whitecaps, taking a loss. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed three runs.

The Falmouth Commodores were sparked by Tyler Lawrence and Liput, who teamed up for five hits and three RBIs.
