Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Friday as the Wareham Gatemen (18-14) outscored the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (22-13) 13-9 in eight innings.

The teams totaled 25 hits in the game.

Robert Metz racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Wareham Gatemen. He homered in the second inning and singled in the first, fourth, and seventh innings.

Will Toffey led the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox's offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the first inning.

Brett Conine got his first win for the Wareham Gatemen despite allowing five runs over five innings. Conine struck out five, walked two and gave up six hits.

Erich Uelmen (2-1) took the loss for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He allowed six runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out five.
