The Cotuit Kettleers (11-21) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 2-1 to the Chatham Anglers (13-19) on Wednesday.

The Chatham Anglers took the lead in the sixth inning on a solo home run by Sean Bouchard.

The Chatham Anglers were led by Bouchard's hitting. Bouchard went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the sixth inning.

The Cotuit Kettleers couldn't get anything going as long as Andrew Karp was pitching. The Cotuit Kettleers managed just three hits off of Karp, who allowed one earned run, walked none and struck out four during his six innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Cotuit Kettleers' Connor Simmons dominated the Chatham Anglers' batters, giving up zero runs and striking out six.

Ross Achter (2-1) took the loss for the Cotuit Kettleers. He lasted just two innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
