Bryan Sammons kept the Orleans Firebirds (15-16) off the board during his seven innings of work and the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (20-12) beat the Orleans Firebirds, 1-0.

Sammons allowed seven hits, two walks and struck out five.

A walk-off sacrifice fly by Dillon Persinger gave the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox the win.

Persinger was solid at the plate for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. Persinger went 1-3 and drove in one. He singled in the sixth inning.

Calvin Faucher recorded his third win of the year for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Brandon Bielak ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed one run.
