Dillon Persinger went 1-3 and hit a home run, sparking the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (18-11) to an 8-4 victory over the Falmouth Commodores (17-12) on Friday at Red Wilson Field.

Sam Delaplane brought the heat against the Falmouth Commodores during his outing. The Falmouth Commodores managed just one hit off of Delaplane, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Tristan Gray had a hot bat for the Falmouth Commodores. Gray went 3-4 and drove in one. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fifth and seventh innings.

Michael Baumann recorded his second win of the year for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He allowed two runs over 1 2/3 innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered three hits.

Brett Gilchrist (2-1) took the loss for the Falmouth Commodores. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
