Bryan Sammons kept the Orleans Firebirds (14-13) off the board during his six innings of work and the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (17-11) beat the Orleans Firebirds, 4-0.

Sammons allowed four hits, one walk and struck out five.

Matt Winaker was hot from the plate for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. Winaker went 4-5 and scored one run. He singled in the first, second, and ninth innings.

Cory Abbott couldn't get it done on the bump for the Orleans Firebirds, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
