Ryan Noda went 3-3 at the plate, helping the Brewster Whitecaps (10-14) to a 2-1 victory over the Chatham Anglers (11-13) on Friday at Stony Brook.

Zacary Lowther pitched lights out for the Brewster Whitecaps. Lowther held the Chatham Anglers hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.

Michael Fitzgerald brought the heat against the Brewster Whitecaps during his outing. Fitzgerald held the Brewster Whitecaps hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Hunter Martin recorded his second win of the year for the Brewster Whitecaps. He allowed one run over six innings. Martin struck out three, walked five and gave up four hits.

Simon Mathews was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
