Five first-inning runs helped the Bourne Braves (10-5) to a 5-4 win over the Cotuit Kettleers (2-14) at Lowell Park on Tuesday.

The Bourne Braves scored in the first on a wild pitch, a two-run single by David MacKinnon, an RBI single by Evan Mendoza, and a passed ball.

Greyson Jenista racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Cotuit Kettleers. He tripled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Chad Luensmann improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Bourne Braves. He allowed one run over 1 2/3 innings. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered one hit.

David Gerics couldn't get it done on the mound for the Cotuit Kettleers, taking a loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
