Gavin Sheets put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Wareham Gatemen. He singled in the second inning, homered in the fifth inning, and doubled in the seventh inning.
Matt Davis racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Brewster Whitecaps. He homered in the fourth inning.
Robert Garcia improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Wareham Gatemen. He allowed one run over one inning. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered two hits.
Aaron Soto was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 4 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out five.
