The Chatham Anglers (2-2) and the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (0-4) each put runners in scoring position on Tuesday, but the Chatham Anglers capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 4-3 win at Red Wilson Field.

Patrick Mathis racked up three RBIs on one hit for the Chatham Anglers. He homered in the sixth inning.

Isaac Mattson had an impressive outing against the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox's lineup. Mattson held the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

The Chatham Anglers' lineup had no answer for Nathan Kuchta. The Chatham Anglers managed just one hit off of Kuchta, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 3 1/3 innings of work.

Tom Cosgrove got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed three runs over five innings. Cosgrove struck out four, walked two and gave up five hits.

Pat Vanderslice (0-1) took the loss for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked none, struck out five, and allowed four runs.
