Extra-inning thriller favors the Bourne Braves, 5-4 winners over the Hyannis Harbor Hawks

It took 10 innings, but the Bourne Braves (2-0) managed to put away the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (0-3) 5-4 on Sunday at McKeon Park.

With the score tied at four, Toby Handley came to the plate and singled, plating Nate Cardy.

It was a good day at the plate for the Bourne Braves' Connor McVey. McVey went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third, fifth, and ninth innings.

Alexander (AJ) Moore baffled the Hyannis Harbor Hawks, striking out seven batters. (AJ) Moore allowed no earned runs on three hits and one walk over five innings.

Carl Stajduhar racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. He singled in the second inning and homered in the eighth inning.

Conner ONeil recorded his first win of the year for the Bourne Braves. ONeil struck out four, walked none and gave up two hits.
