The Boca Raton Blazers (5-2) beat the Palm Beach Xtreme (3-5) 10-5 on Tuesday at Spanish River High School behind Zach Wingate, who had two extra base hits.

He homered in the third inning, doubled in the seventh inning, and singled in the ninth inning.

Evan Schaffner did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Palm Beach Xtreme, reaching base four times. He singled in the ninth inning.

Kraig Gielow improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Boca Raton Blazers. He allowed three runs over five innings. Gielow struck out two, walked eight and gave up four hits.

Derek Jacobs (1-1) took the loss for the Palm Beach Xtreme. He allowed eight runs in five innings, walked two and struck out two.

The Boca Raton Blazers' Austin Fischer, Wingate, Logan Turcotte and Yoni Rodriguez combined for nine hits and five RBIs.
