The Pompano Beach Clippers (6-2) beat the Boca Raton Blazers (7-5) 11-4 on Wednesday at Pompano Beach Park after a six-run explosion in the third inning.

The Pompano Beach Clippers scored in the third on , , and a home run by Kyle Simon.

Lance Myers racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Pompano Beach Clippers.

Matt Marini put together a nice outing. The Boca Raton Blazers managed just one hit off of Marini, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his three innings of work.

JJ Woodard did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Boca Raton Blazers, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the sixth and eighth innings.

Alex Bialakis improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Pompano Beach Clippers. He allowed four runs over five innings. Bialakis struck out two, walked five and gave up six hits.

Michael Conrad (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked three and struck out five.
