The Coral Springs Royals (2-0) continued to pile up the runs on Saturday, scoring three runs in the last three innings, on the way to a 16-7 landslide win over the Palm Beach Xtreme (1-1) at Coral Glades Sportsplex.

The Coral Springs Royals scored eight runs in the sixth on an RBI single by Jesus Santiago, a two-run error, an RBI single by Dakota Long, and a two-run single by Long.

Ray Scala reached base four times in the game for the Coral Springs Royals. He scored three runs and had one RBI.

The Palm Beach Xtreme's lineup had no answer for Jonah Owenby. Owenby held the Palm Beach Xtreme hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Connor Rowland had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the second and fifth innings.

Alex Ginn got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered two hits.

Max Tannenbaum ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just zero innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed five runs.
