The Delray Beach Lightning (18-15) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 4-2 to the South Florida Huskies (13-17) on Monday.

A two-run single by Junior Ramiraz gave the South Florida Huskies the lead in the eighth inning.

Ramiraz pitched lights out for the South Florida Huskies. The Delray Beach Lightning managed just one hit off of Ramiraz, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 1 2/3 innings of work.

Mark Ramcharitar recorded his second win of the year for the South Florida Huskies. Ramcharitar struck out two, walked one and gave up three hits.

Eric Shugars ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
